Exactly what I've been looking for. There are some small cars with solar roofs built in but then you have to buy a whole new vehicle and you might prefer a different model. I like a few microcars like the Citroen Ami, Silence S04 and maybe Mobilize Duo when it comes out. Hope they make a version of this that is shorter so it can fit on any car length. Then it's perfect for any small EV user with minimal driving.

The roof solar is like $3 per watt without off grid charging. This device provide 1200 watt off grid charging. It's a deal compared with traditional solar system if the 1200 watt spec can be achieved in real world test.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous, pathetic and tiring. Even watching is painful. It's like the post-war depression period where the vehicles have been twisted into absurd shapes. Get out of the vehicle, wait for hours to charge, buy extra spare battery units to hold this charge, put them in the trunk, install the 50 kg and 100 kg devices, then collect them back, then get bogged down with cables etc. And the most ironic part is that he prepares videos for people as if these are very easy and practical and tries to make them believe it.

I think this is awesome. I hate the setups that require a battery to be charged only to then charge another one. I only typically commute like eight miles a day, three days a week. In normal driving conditions I could basically never pay for power. Super cool.

What is the current status of production on this. They want $100 to hold a position for a year from now...we need the power now...do you have a factory or work place yet that has a steady supply? I just asked the AI and they haven't delivered anything...but they presold $2,000,000 worth of units they can't produce yet.

I had to give up on a venture to make something like this for my Clarity because I didn't know that if the panels receive different amounts of power, the lowest denominator (V or A depending on serial or parallel) is the controlling V or A, so how did Go Solar beat this?

I don’t think most people will use this. Sounds great but the wind resistance from the side mirrors are a huge factor on range. Imagine roof racks and this thing on the roof. You might gain a few miles that counter the miles you waisted just having it but the time spent unloading and loading it will soon weigh on you. Especially after your realize those tall buildings will cast shadows on the panels and significantly reduce its effectiveness. That and you can’t park in covered parking so your car has to bake in the sun. So your car is hot. I think most ppl would rather just charge it like normal with the freedom of parking anywhere with no loss in range.

Can you add more battery to extend range? Also, can you double amount of solar panels on top to have 4 instead of 2? Thanks

I like the concept and the simplicity, but $3000 is too high. It should be around $1500. China will copy and make soon way more cheaper. 2025 is a big change.
